We're Oregon's leading grassroots toxics watch group and a gutsy voice for change since 2000.
Eugene Weekly had this to say about us:
"OTA works its rear end off to protect people, especially but not only kids and low-income and rural folks, from harmful pollutants."
and
"OTA has successfully linked environmental research with advocacy and applied a social justice approach to environmental protection at the state and local levels...."

Why Support OTA?
OTA has been Oregon's leading grassroots toxics watch group and a gutsy voice for change since 2000. We've been called tough and tenacious by friend and foe alike and Eugene Weekly had this to say about us:
"OTA works its rear end off to protect people, especially but not only kids and low-income and rural folks, from harmful pollutants."
and
"OTA has successfully linked environmental research with advocacy and applied a social justice approach to environmental protection at the state and local levels...."
You and OTA—together--create hope among those who are struggling for better air to breathe and a cleaner, safer environment for their families.
How do we do this?
OTA advocates for your vision of a toxics-free Oregon. We tackle pressing problems with an effective grassroots approach, making sure you have clean water, healthy air, and protected public lands. That’s why it’s more important than ever to continue to support the gains made for environmental health in Oregon.
We need your support today to keep working to protect you and our surrounding environment from toxic poisoning.

ONE OF OUR MANY CAMPAIGNS FOR CHANGE IS NOW UNDERWAY...
Last month we hosted Dr. Sandra Steingraber at the University of Oregon on April 28th. Noted author, biologist, and cancer survivor, Dr. Steingraber came to Eugene to speak about the links between cancer and the common presence of toxic chemicals in our environment and everyday products.
The appearance of Sandra Steingraber was, by all accounts, a smashing success! But, of course, we at OTA are not known for resting on our laurels. Along with our members, we are spreading Sandra’s message of hope as an antidote to the ecological crisis of our times.
We hope to show the documentary based on her first book, Living Downstream throughout Oregon. Bringing this remarkable new film to your community is made possible by a generous grant from the Northwest Health Foundation. Please invite us to show this inspiring documentary and engage in a community dialog about environmental health in your community. In so doing, we hope to spark a self-sustaining, broad-based grassroots movement all over the state.
