Clearinghouse Goals

The OTA website will serve as Oregon's first statewide toxics information clearinghouse;
The website will assist citizens to achieve toxics reform by providing information about policies, national and statewide initiatives, legal challenges, scientific information, and contacts with other toxics organizations;
The website will be used for systematic education of the media and the public;
The information presented on our website will be organized so that citizen's interested in participating in toxics reform have one place to turn to so that no one has to "reinvent the wheel;"
Connect citizens who have toxics issues with experts in the science and law of toxics;
The Clearinghouse, also accessible by phone and at the OTA office, will be a library of references on toxics Oregon Toxics Alliance works to establish systemic policy, philosophical, and structural changes that will lead to the elimination of contamination and unnecessary use of toxics substances within Oregon.
