Field Burning Legislation Update

After passing through the House Health Care Committee with a "do pass," recommendation, HB 3000 stalled in the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.

Our thanks go out to everyone who wrote their legislators, who sent personal testimonials to us, and who came to Salem to bear witness to the legislative process. Our goal to end field burning is legitimate and achievable. It is based on sound science that confirms the threat to public health and the recognition that there are a number of alternative farming practices that enable grass seed farmers to maintain high yields and purity without burning.
