Fingernail Polishes and Removers

Contains: acetone, benzene, and formaldehyde resin, among others. Flammable, highly toxic. Vapors are easily inhaled. Irritant to skin and mucous membranes.

  1. Leave your nails unpolished to avoid using.
  2. Buff nails to create sheen without the polish.
  3. When using turn on fan and ventilate room.
  4. Avoid using paint or remover when pregnant.
  5. Toluene-free polish is less toxic than others.
Flea and Tick Repellants
Poisonous if eaten or ingested.
  1. Vacuum house regularly and thoroughly.
  2. Bathe pets regularly.
  3. Launder pets bedding frequently.
  4. Feed dogs and cats Brewer’s Yeast.
  5. Feed pets Vitamin B or garlic tablets.
Hobby Chemicals/Arts and Crafts Supplies (crafts, chemistry lab sets, photography, etc.)
Flammable ; Poisonous ; Corrosive

Photography chemicals: formaldehyde, hydrochloric acid. Can blind or burn; toxic. Cause skin, eye and lung irritation.

Chemistry set: reactive; corrosive ; flammable.

**Most contain methylene chloride which is highly toxic and should not be used near children.
  1. Keep away from heat.
  2. Choose less chemically-reactive hobby sets.
  3. Choose water-based inks and markers.
  4. Wear protective goggles, gloves when using.
  5. Use dry mount tissue instead of spray adhesive for crafts.
  6. Use supplies without cadmium, chromium, or lead that are highly toxic.
  7. Refrain from eating or drinking when using and wash hands thoroughly when done.
  8. Dispose of through local schools or companies.
